[missing] no way to hide "general" topic

Open RememberTheAir opened this issue 2 years ago • 4 comments

Is your feature request related to a problem?

Not really - but on the mobile apps, it is possible to hide the "general" topic. On tdesktop there's no way to do that - it just stays there

Describe the solution you'd like

An option to hide it, and a way to access it once it is hidden. On Android, it is done by pulling down the list of topics. I suspect this is missing from tdesktop because there is not a good way to access it easily. Maybe it can just be a new item in the three-dots menu, or an icon next to it

Describe alternatives you've considered

None

bump, it's so weird to see the "general" topic around on desktop while on mobile it's hidden

bump, there should be a way to hide a topic that is not supposed to be seen, according to mobile apps

still lacking this option, is it because of no good UI to do it?

Any update on this? tdesktop is the only app that shows a topic that you asked to hide :/
