Hi @lingbohome, see the full details of the deprecation notice on the tekton-users mailing list at https://groups.google.com/g/tekton-users/c/YxPHmgiX-Ig

Copying content of the announcement below.

Hey Tekton Users,

We're writing to let you know about some important changes coming for the Tekton Hub public instance at https://hub.tekton.dev/. While the instance has been marked as deprecated for a little while, we haven't properly communicated the full plan until now. Our goal is to provide a clear roadmap for the deprecation and the future of the Tekton Hub repository.

What's Happening & When

Here’s a quick rundown of the timeline:

Where to Find Your Tasks and Pipelines Now

You might be wondering where to get your Tekton Tasks and Pipelines once the hub is gone. Good news! Alternatives are already in place and are the recommended way forward: Artifact Hub.

Artifact Hub is open source and can be self-hosted, giving you flexibility. We’re already publishing our official Tekton Pipelines and Tasks there:

  • Public Instance: https://artifacthub.io/
  • Tekton Catalog Tasks: https://artifacthub.io/packages/search?repo=tekton-catalog-tasks
  • Tekton Catalog Pipelines: https://artifacthub.io/packages/search?repo=tekton-catalog-pipelines
  • StepActions: Coming soon!

Have Questions or Concerns?

We understand that changes like this can raise questions. If you have any concerns about this move or how it might impact your workflows, please don't hesitate to reach out. You can connect with us on the Tekton mailing list or by replying directly to this email.

Thanks for your understanding and continued support of Tekton!

The Tekton Team

PS: If you are a Red Hat Openshift Pipelines customer, don't worry, Red Hat will maintain a fork of the repository in maintenance mode (no new features, just security fix for a given amount of time, to be defined) for their customers.

@lingbohome Does my comment above answer your questions? Can this issue be closed now? Thanks

For what is worth, we will move the dates a bit later to give more time to everyone to migrate. See https://github.com/tektoncd/hub/pull/2562
