FYI, booting Linux with grub2 mode works, but booting with normal mode fails (shows a white `-` in the corner). This only works with 1.0.80 and above from my testing...

Did you get the [5.14 versions](https://github.com/mkubecek/vmware-host-modules/releases/tag/w16.2.4-k5.14)? Because CentOS is a dnf distro you could also try the [auto module update script on the Fedora wiki.](https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/quick-docs/how-to-use-vmware/#_deal_with_kernel_updates)
