[Feature Request] Dark Mode

The white background [of the history sync page] on a 40" screen is searing my retinas. I hope it's not too much to ask.

I don't know any HTML, but if there is a CSS workaround I can follow until a switchable theme is implemented, I'd be grateful.

I think you can accomplish something with Stylus (Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/stylus/clngdbkpkpeebahjckkjfobafhncgmne / Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/styl-us/) until then.

How would that work? I was asking about the white background in the history sync page.

As a security precaution, the browser prohibits extensions from affecting its built-in pages (like chrome://version, the standard new tab page as of Chrome 61, about:addons, and so on) as well as other extensions' pages. Each browser also restricts access to its own extensions gallery (like Chrome Web Store or AMO).
