At this point I have an incomplete idea of having some kind of plan templates.

The main point of this would be a possibility to apply the template to an existing remote plan so also a local customization would be possible. Or vice versa, the remote plan would be built on top of the template. We could also apply logical operations on the remote plan and the template, i.e. && and || might be possible. So some of the attributes could be masked, replaced, extended, whatever.

So let the brain crunch and the discussion flow.

Any wild ideas so far?

I think @kkaarreell has a requirement for something similar so he might be able to describe a particular use case. So we could work this out.
