smb NTBIOS servenr name

If I have a NETBIOS name like mine:

mycompany-2016

the connections gives me an error:

Invalid server name

Enter NETBIOS name in correct format.

On path text box on top of tab insert the address:

smb://mycompany-2016

and continue to set-up the connection.

Same on Ubuntu 19.04 -- cannot access any shares in company network. Had to mount on boot ones I use more often, with fstab.
