regenerative snubber

Hi Ted, awesome project! Sorry about posting here, at hackaday you didn't seem to respond. You ever think about a regenerative snubber for the wasted ring energy after LED current has stopped (the drain ringing energy)? It could add some time to your project? Or are you done with this project? I will delete this post if your not interested. TIA!
