2001 E39 Metadata display not functional while "handsfree" is off

Setup:

• 2001 E39 530i (with MID/BMW business tape)
• No DSP available
• No Telephone cable connection to BlueBus
• Firmware Version 1.3.4 (as reported by BlueBus)

Reproduction:

1. Set "Metadata" display to "Party" mode
2. Disable "Handsfree" mode
3. Play songs via Bluetooth

Expected behavior:

• Metadata scrolls through in party mode
• Handsfree setting does not impact metadata display

Actual behavior:

• Metadata flashes quickly and disappears when song changes

I restored metadata functionality just now by re-enabling "handsfree" and power cycling the radio (key removed and reinserted) based on another issue I read on here.

This makes sense — I use the telephone UI on the MID to prevent the UI being overwritten. A side effect of disabling HFP is that the telephone is no longer advertised on the I-Bus. Ideally, I need to stop using the telephone UI since I now know how to reliably coexist with the radio…
