Delete submission
Describe the feature to be implemented
I would like to delete one of my submissions/reviews.
Why do you need this feature?
Accidentally submitted the wrong status of an app and the rating decreased from Gold to Bronze. Maybe make an optional "Confirm before submitting" prompt toggle in the settings.
The API doesn't support deletion yet. Let me know the app you submitted the wrong submission for along with the ROM so I can delete it from my end.
make an optional "Confirm before submitting"
Nice idea. :+1:
Thank you for the response! The app is SimplyTranslate Mobile and the rom is: Stock (samsung SM-S908B) (UP1A.231005.007.S908BXXU7DXA6)
Your rating has been deleted. :white_check_mark:
Use the latest version (v2.0.5) which has the "confirm before submit" option. Deleting ratings will eventually be added in the API at some point, and henceforth in the app too.
I accidentally submitted a broken rating for adobe acrobat and I would like to change it to gold. (I accidentally clicked submit). Maybe make it so the default is nothing and the app tells you to please select a rating so people don't accidentally click submit before selecting their rating?
Edit: The ROM is LineageOS (lineage_oriole).
the default is nothing and the app tells you to please select a rating
sounds good :+1:
Hi! I need to modify an app rating (or perhaps delete and re-submit it). The app is Banc Sabadell (net.inverline.bancosabadell.officelocator.android) installed on "e os". Past week I've made a silver rating because "digital signature" was not working, but I've discovered that it works by enabling in microG "Google device registration" and "Cloud nessaging"
@manolollr updating & deleting ratings aren't supported by the API yet. The API dev won't be available for a few weeks. They will be added eventually though but only after the website is completed. I have deleted your rating from my end. The best thing you can do right now is any of the following:
- wait for a new version of
Banc Sabadellto be released & then submit a rating. - submit rating from a different device.
- delete your account on the current device & verify again (with the same email, no issues there) then submit the correct rating.
@StellarSand Could you delete my latest rating for Proton Mail? It's from GrapheneOS on version 4.0.16 (9453) with the note of, "No push notifications without Google Play Services".
I meant to pick the Silver rating, but accidentally submitted the rating with Gold.
@taivlam done :ballot_box_with_check: . Also check this comment if you want to submit another rating for the same app.
Please use the latest version as it has some fixes to hopefully prevent accidental submissions.
@StellarSand I also made a mistake in one of my submissions. Will you please delete mine as well?
If so the submission in question is the following: Airbnb - ROM: GrapheneOS (2024060500) - Note: "Can successfully login, view listings, no mapview, no push notifications, booking process doesn't work" - with a Gold rating
I meant to pick Bronze rating, not Gold.
Also, are you planning on adding a feature in the future to delete one's own ratings/submissions? If so, when?
@StellarSand Will you please delete my submission/rating? The one I have mentioned in my comment on the 18th of August ๐๐
@Alias36 I somehow missed your reply earlier. Deleted โ
@StellarSand that is completely okay! It turned out that account had been flagged as a false positive for a long time, but I discovered it yesterday and had it lifted xD
Thank you very much! I have already made a new one with the correct rating ๐๐๐
Everyone please vote on this poll.
The API doesn't support deletion yet. Let me know the app you submitted the wrong submission for along with the ROM so I can delete it from my end.
I accidentally submitted a rating for Fossify Launcher for e OS FP4. It should have been done on Lawnchair launcher...so now there is a duplicate on both apps. Please delete from Fossify Launcher.
Dear @StellarSand and team, I hate bad data and duplication. Can you help and update the "DB" ? It's for be.bmid.itsme app, also known as itsme It's got 2 ratings by me with GrapheneOS 2025070800. Please delete gold and keep bronze.
By the way, about the poll https://social.lol/@techlore/114461799130467953 . I'm afraid I didn't feel like spending 20 bucks (per year) now to register on social.lol to share my opinion. Keeping the email would possibly make you impacted by GDPR and such. This idea by weakish about storing a hashed version of the address is probably a great compromise: https://social.lol/@[email protected]/114465643024089777

Regarding the poll and email functionality, weโve decided to store the combined hash of the email + unique ID (which is already in use). However, we havenโt made any official announcements yet, as we wanted to have the implementation fully in place before doing so. The API and website are managed by a different developer, so I donโt have a timeline on when this will be implemented. Thanks for your input!
Hello again,
Offering my 2 cts of wisdom or stupidity, at the risk of embarassing myself.
What I read between those lines. The combined hash of the email + unique ID, would indirectly, in the future, allow the contributor to delete/edit a rating as long as the Plexus app is not deleted/reinstalled. The way I imagine the system is implemented, as soon as one reinstalls, a new unique ID is generated, the combined hash becomes different, and the user looses ability to act on the "previous" ratings (those before the reinstall).
The combined hash approach protects against a "new" person that would later gain access to the email address, and would be able to act on the ratings of someone else. But it also deprives a unique person that reinstalls, to ever act again on the old ratings. I'm new to actually using Graphene, or any ungoogled phone. But my guess is that, it's a world where people possibly experiment, reinstall, change device more often than the average Joe. I would probably just hash the email.
But it's not my project, not my decisions, not my fight against scope creep etc. Anyway, congrats on Plexus, I think it's already a great achievement in it's current state. It nicely complements https://privsec.dev/posts/android/banking-applications-compatibility-with-grapheneos/ with a useful complementary angle. (I'm just a contributor to both, I have no ties to any.)
Enjoy the summer.
Dear, I wish your development for rating deletion is somewhat progressing. In the meantime, I ran into a case where a new version now works. I would definitely love to be able to replace the old "broken" rating. Please delete the "broken" rating for com.LuxTrustMobile, version 4.18 on Android 16.
@waluwaz There's no need to delete the broken rating as it is for a previous version of LuxTrustMobile. You can simply submit a new rating for the new version. This will inform people that the previous version was not working but the latest version does. :)
@StellarSand I sent a wrong report for Maif (fr.maif.digital.maifetmoi) from my Shift5e. The application works correctly. Can you please delete this report ?
