Retractiontower nozzle slam

When starting the retraction tower, the nozzle slams into the bed completly ignoring the z-offset i've dialed in.. Any idea why this happends?

The same happened to me. It actually ruined my print bed by continuing to print after slamming the nozzle into the bed. I have ABL activated and no custom start G-code. Other calibration scripts work just fine... I have checked all settings in the retraction tower setup page, and they all check out.
