[Plugin] Block editor view
This project is great as a database, but with small additional functionality it will change the world! All what needed - just add content to records. Just imagine if connect database with something like Outline - it will kill Notion!
Project management, knowledge base, team collaboration, reporting and analytics - there are no any limits, build what you need.
Describe the solution you'd like
- ability to add content (outliner), inline editing, blocks, integrations (embeds)
- comments/collaboration features
- reporting (charts, dashboards)
Describe alternatives you've considered Notion, but SaaS.
Additional context It will kill Jira, Notion, Airtable and many others PM tools.
Please note, that creating a suitable block editor is a non-trivial task, as AppFlowy, Anytype, AFFiNE, hash.ai, Logseq and Outline show.
I agree that there is a predominant need to have a replacement for Notion in FLOSS-land.

Yeah, a rich text editor is not a "small" feature 😂
But AFFiNE's editor is actually very nice and also separately open source:
They all are cool products, I use all of them in my workflow, but they don't have the most important - relational databases that Teable (or Nocodb, Baserow, Pocketbase - Teable seems most correctly designed) has.
So Teable (as a base) combining with Outline looks very promising as a complete solution.
But, anyway, just add simple comments and very primitive body content (text + image) as a MVP, it will also cover a lot of use cases :)

creating a suitable block editor
This idea is fantastic, but it's a bit too advanced for Teable's current focus. The team is prioritizing the core app, and a block editor would be more like a separate project. However, Teable’s flexible architecture allows for view-plugins, like the existing spreadsheet plugin. This means someone else could create a block editor plugin to achieve these features. It’s an exciting possibility for the community!
