Proposal for new terms to express the vitality of an organism

It has been suggested that Darwin Core should have a term to indicate that an observation or specimen was dead at the time of observation or collection. Additionally, the cause of death would be useful additional information.

Such information would be useful for studies on hunting, roadkill and wildlife disease.
