new organizing scheme

this is still pretty wacky, but here goes!

  • moved away from Jekyll's posts feature, which lets you to blogging using the date in the file name. Now everything is a default page, and the date is specified in the front matter. Only documents that have dates will be included in the main list (so that you have control over what documents show up and which do not)
  • the pages live in subdirectories: organizing, text, text-by-collaborators, zine. this feels less than ideal but I wanted to group pages based on why they were made, and separate them from the about and 404 pages for example.
  • removed duplicate markdown documents because that was confusing
  • maybe zine can go into text
  • The EAW transcript feels like it could be in text too, in the sense that it's something produced as a result of the event rather than in order to organize it. depending on how you see it.
  • each markdown file has a permalink in the front matter, so moving them into different folders will not mess up the urls in the generated site.
  • moving images, however, will do mess up the urls.
  • moved away from having a static folder for media files. afaik it's something you do to optimize server performance (by serving static files in a separate folder from dynamic documents) and it doesn't seem to be super necessary in this case
  • so the media files now live alongside their corresponding markdown files
  • made an art folder that houses TY's sub-projects within DWC. drawings, performances, etc. This folder is excluded from Jekyll's generator, so images that live here might have duplicates in other places for the website.
