this.async and this.defer are not defined in filters

Async/Promise before/after filters do not work as advertised in the README

Sorry about the inconvenience, was focusing on LayoutManager 0.8 release and ignored my other projects. I'm most likely removing async/deferred functionality.

No worries. I can do the work to add async filters if its just a question of you having time. If you'd prefer to remove async filters in general, I'd be curious to know why you don't think their required.
