Is there a way to have animated gif images as sample background?

I need something like this to teach kids to draw letters on their device

@inglesuniversal cool application! I think only jpg and png are supported, but as a trick you can update the background image every 0.1 s for example if you wish to show a sequence of images?

http://fabricjs.com/animated-sprite may also be useful for you (react-sketch is based on fabricjs).
