Feature request: Drilling

Would love to see drilling (straight plunge cuts) as well as spiral path cutting for circular holes larger than the bit diameter.

Is it possible to get the boundary box(es) of a selected path(s) and to calculate each center?

This way, it could be possible to code a new «Drill» simple operation to plunge into material without any horizontal movement, is it right?

As a workaround for drilling, I find it works for me if I tell it the cutter size is 2.45mm, to make a 2.5mm drill hole. In practice my machine's resolution is lower than the amount it would move around by, so what happens is it plunges, dwells and retracts again without actual movement in the X/Y axes.
