I don't have lot of time to review/test/merge right now, could you elaborate a little more on the need and the reason it does not work right now? Thank you for your contribution!

@tbarbugli I believe this is probably what the issue I submitted is about (https://github.com/tbarbugli/cassandra_snapshotter/issues/133). Let me know if this project is still active and I can test this.
