Roster Roles in People reports

This is a 'feature request' - unless there's already a way to do it that I can't see.

I would like to be able to generate a 'Volunteer Register' - a list of people who serve in roster roles. Ideally this 'report' could be generate for a year, or six months, or some other time-frame.

At this point the closest I can come is to generate a report which lists people who are in roster role 'groups'. But I can't see a way to exclude those who have not served on a roster in the desired time period.

Don't know if this is something that others would use... ?

Actually... having reflected on this for a bit. Rather than a 'report' perhaps a more logical place for something like this would be when viewing rosters.
Currently we can select a roster view for a particular time-frame and then email or text everyone on the roster. Perhaps this is where there could be a third option to 'generate a volunteer list' ... and some check boxes to include name/s number/s etc

Hmm, interesting. So you want to see not just a list of people who've volunteered for various roles, but rather people have actually been assigned to those roles in a certain period. You're right that there isn't currently a way to get that.

This need hasn't been raised before. What's your use case for the resulting report?

Thanks for the response. The trigger was the insurer wanting to know the number of people on our 'volunteer register'. Bit interesting when we want to see 100% of regulars serving! And then there's the question of what roles should be considered etc The closest thing we have to a 'volunteer register 'currently is the rosters. Anyway, I thought if we have a roster view with the tasks that we want a volunteer register for, we could generate a report for each time period that's called for. I was just having a look at the 'merge a document' option ... thinking there may be an easy way to generate what we want through it.
