Can a desktop application developed with Tauri be directly used as a backend and a browser application? That is, can it be used as a local program and also deployed on an Ubuntu server as a web service?

Hey! IMHO ideally for stuff like this you'd create a monorepo and have universal UI views/data fetch hooks you can import in both the webapp and desktop app.

As far as I know, there's no tool to convert the desktop app to a web app, but there's this thing called taurify that allows you to go from web to tauri desktop. Maybe you could do that instead if your app is just a website you want people to download...
