Single panel view for tablets in portrait mode.

On a tablet, the task list is pushed to the left side with a large blank area on the right until a task is selected. This behaviour works great when in landscape postion but in portrait position it causes a very squashed look and makes markdown rendering look yuck (technical term there). Can an option be added to disable two panel view and stick with a single panel on tablets?
