Literally nothing works except cpu usage using node on ubuntu 20.04.02

Even CPU doesn't work for me on Ubuntu 22.04 using the npm approach and running as root w/ Node v18, it's just a bunch of blank or loading graphs. There's really no information on how to troubleshoot this. With the multi-year gap in commits unfortunately it looks like this project is dead.
