Update Alert-Log Relative Times to Be Relative to Alert Creation
What problem would you like to solve? Please describe: The current alert-log relative times are not as informative as they could be for older or closed alerts. They show when events occurred relative to the current time, but this makes it difficult to see when they occurred relative to the alert creation, especially for older alerts where most or all events are presented as having occurred "X days ago".
Describe the solution you'd like: It would be beneficial to display the alert-log relative times in relation to the alert creation time. For instance, an initial event might display the relative time from today as it does currently (e.g., "3 days ago"), but subsequent events could display how long after the alert creation they occurred (e.g., "+5 min"). This change could potentially be applied to closed alerts, or maybe any alert that is older than a day.
Describe alternatives you've considered: One alternative solution would be to keep the current relative-time system for active alerts, especially if they are recent. For example, it may still be useful to see that an alert was escalated "2 minutes ago" rather than "5 minutes after creation". The change to relative alert creation time could then only be applied to older and closed alerts.
Additional context: This change would make it easier to understand when events happened in relation to the opening of the alert, which could provide important context, especially for postmortem reports or reviewing older alerts.
