Latest version of the plug-in on WP 4.5.1 (and apparently FB API 2.5)

Plug-in operates to some extent, but inserts empty data with no title and other content as zindexsolutions suggested in the previous tread.

Replacing with $url = 'https://graph.facebook.com/v2.0/' did not work in my instance of the plugin.

Suggestions: (1) Fix plug-in to work with FB API 2.5 (2) Make post type regular WP post and not FB group type by default (3) Pull avatars with the comments. Currently an empty avatar is showing.

I am suggesting the above as a easily done fix, since apparently a copycat has forked the plug-in and now selling it commercially: https://wordpress.org/plugins/egany-facebook-to-wp/

They have the above 3 issues fixed and working in their free version, which excludes URLs, photos and videos attachments in the posts. Since the code is virtually the same, could their workaround for FB API 2.5 be simply copy-“borrowed” to make this free plug-in great again?
