Reset the state of the search bar on opening a new app

I'm having an issue where on searching for an app with glide typing makes it that the entire name of the app is searched for in the beginning and on minimizing or closing the app takes me to the launcher with the entire name written and on deleting any content from the search bar makes it so that the app is opened again.

I can provide with screenshots if not reproducible.

Sorry, the application seems to have glitched and not have reset when I tried to close an application and it was for only one instance. I'll be closing this issue.

I'm not sure how to replicate this, but the issue is essentially this.

I'm not able to replicate this issue. This might be a device/Android specific issue because I haven't heard from anyone else either.

This is a Chinese brand phone (Doogee) But it runs pure Android 12

I have an issue which sounds similar: Olauncher will randomly forget to wipe the search box upon opening an app, leaving the keyboard open as well. Going back to Olauncher shows the still-populated text box and filtered results.

I don't use glide typing and my device is a Samsung Galaxy A40 running stock rooted One UI, based on Android 11. I haven't been able to determine a rhyme or reason to this "bug", perhaps it's a race condition?
