fill with an image as pattern

Hello !

my request is similar as what ask Khameleonium in the discussion group : I would appreciate the possibility to use an image as a pattern or texture in a background ( for example, filling all the surface of a 1200x1900px image with a smaller image 256 or 512px or more ) ?

Describe the best way to implement this.

an option "fill with pattern image " ? or background "fill with color", fill with pattern image" in the layer menu In Xara 3d that I used years ago, it is possible to load an image as a texture for the background (by drag and drop too) as here : you tube on this video at 5'50. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=riSl7LETURc here two works of my students made this way, with and without a seamless texture image

That is also a feature in Paint Shop Pro and can be useful. 👍
