How to balance college exams with self-learning like this online course?

Open malvikathakur opened this issue 6 years ago • 4 comments

I want your advice on this. In my college the exam schedule is very stupid. If I calculate total exams and non exam days.....an exam will fall on every third day. I have seen your YouTube video where you say that GPA is not that important but the skills and the things we develop are. For placements GPA holds importance . The first criteria company keeps is GPA. So when we are learning something extra the GPA suffers. What I know is that the small small things like portfolio ,websites and then I just started VanillaJS yesterday(something will be created in that too) is what makes us stand out of the crowd. So we should not waste too much time in GPA but then we need to make our parents understand this(secondary problem). So the primary problem is in my college I'm actually wasting time in studying for exams exams and exams. So guide me and students like me.

Prologue

@malvikathakur do you really have so many exams? Like when I was in college we used to get a lot of time between exams. Every month there was one exam but you would get two-three weeks in between.

Now, to answer your question, even if we have so many exams how can we do it?

Managing time better

  • Identifying where you're wasting your time is important
  • Carve out specific parts of your day to learn
  • Sometimes, just listening to a podcast or watching video helps too. Incremental updates are good.

Using class time better

Semester breaks

Making your parents understand

Understanding the human brain: think about solutions

You can think around these points, I will cover it in more detail in a video

Wait for the productivity Book. If it doesn't answer all these questions then we'll do the sessions.
