Dev Environment not starting up

hi, I cloned the repository and followed all processes as described on the readme to run the development server. However, the logged output is stuck on the following lines in the console;

cross-env NODE_PATH=. NODE_ENV=development nodemon [nodemon] 1.11.0 [nodemon] to restart at any time, enter rs [nodemon] watching: . [nodemon] starting node index.js [nodemon] clean exit - waiting for changes before restart

what am I doing wrong?
