Hmmm. I feel what your saying, I had the same feeling when I first tried this out; but if you think about the mechanics of what Spiderman is doing... Just roll with me here 😸... He doesn't reel his webs in.
Instead he would do something like what has been introduced already (with being able to make 3 different lengths of webs) - somehow varying the elasticity of the webs.
You can use the grip button to "pull" yourself in, have you tried that?
