Is it necessary to use the image_encoder model when training?

Hi, thanks for the awesome work you've done! Is it necessary to use the image_encoder model when training the entire model? I tried to generate image only with random noise Z on coco-stuff dataset, and I can't get the satisfactory result. Thanks!
