refraction: Add Concave mode, adjust maximums and add corner radius
#235, hopefully this one works fine
the Square and Round labels should be disabled too
Done, also didn't realize I used the wrong name for them when I copied the labels from elsewhere
Looking forward this
@iGerman00 Just want to confirm, is this pull request ready?
Anticipating for this awesome addition as well, if it's ready perhaps @taj-ny can review and merge this, thanks!
IMO it is, I've had it on my system ever since I made it, and had no noticeable issues
@iGerman00 is it possible to add new setting ,like to make picture in center shrink? as i see it has like 10 - 20% decrease in size inside of liquid glass objects(Sorry for low quality) :
What you implemented is so much better than options before ( I'm running it on my setup no issues),but i think it can have improvement.
like to make picture in center shrink?
To my knowledge, there's no shrinkage of any kind in Liquid Glass, only refraction - I don't see any in the image. What you're seeing is probably just a different configuration with a stronger refraction that warps the edges of the image, which kinda looks like it's small because the surface itself is small. Short of a better refraction algorithm as a whole and/or support for multiple different blur surfaces in KDE to facilitate different refraction for different elements, I don't think I can add anything here; sorry.

how do i make this apply to all windows? i installed this but for some reason it only works on zen browser, how did you make it apply to the kwin/kde apps? in force blur i've got it set to 'blur all accept matching', with nothing in classes (ie it should be blurring everything) but it doesn't work.
i'm on arch if that changes something

I thought that was a case and that's understandable, thank you for reply!

follow instructions of applying blur for different apps in official repo
@taj-ny Any feedback? Is this ready to merge?
I think the project is dead. Maybe it's time for a new fork?
would also appreciate a fork.
btw: beside menus, docks etc. there is the option to blur the decoration. does this mean if the (kde-)decorations open / close / minimize-buttons are transparent, the refraction would also occur there? (gtk would be impossible, right?)
bump, super excited for this! edit: I cannot seem to make it work D: it installs correctly and I can see it's the correct version, but there is no refraction, no matter what settings I do. does anyone experience the same? nobara 42 wayland nvidia edit 2: workes perfectly after a restart
@taj-ny Any chance you can merge this? I've been using it daily for well over a month, didn't find anything else to add.
I got people personally asking me when it's gonna be merged :P
@iGerman00 I think he is not interested to implement more features or project is suspended for time.
But you can try to add more refraction strength and make smaller amount of points ,like instead insane amount of strength regulation you can make it tidy and nice like with blur strength, i dont know about static blur, but if its possible you can try to fix the problem with it, in idle it consumes like 20 watts more on rx 6800 xt,and make temps go much higher.

I don't know... he was expressing interest to apply changes himself at https://github.com/taj-ny/kwin-effects-forceblur/pull/235#issuecomment-3180624188. I think it's best not to assume that people are abandoning something just because they're taking a break.

I think maybe He's waiting until there is a need to update (to keep it working like He said He would) and will check on all this again then.
Yo. I know this is an old pull request, but any idea of if/when we might see it in the latest release?
Please merge this These changes are too gud
