Add 2FA (two factor auth) support

Open iki opened this issue 8 years ago • 11 comments

Do you want to request a feature or report a bug? Feature proposal.

What is the current behavior? Taiga does not support 2FA atm, creating risk for users IP.

What is the expected behavior? Ability to login with 2FA via Google Authenticator, or similar app. https://twofactorauth.org

Is it happening in taiga.io or in your own instance? Both

Hello!

Could we somehow trigger some priority on this ? We are planning on using taiga as our planning tool for security related projects and this is a must for us..

Any news on this feature's implementation, or roadmap to implementation?

So, security is a low priority in Taiga?

So, security is a low priority in Taiga?

3 years silence is affirmative --- low priority confirmed.

Looks like the Oompaloompas --- or some such infantile concept --- have taken over the Taiga asylum.

Unstarred, releases unwatched --- over to Kanboard or Phabricator!

We have been doing some housekeeping work prior to Taiga6 upcoming release and we are reviewing old issues that we didn't correctly address back then. Taiga6 brings a significant UX/UI rework, and after the launch, we’ll come back to this issue to check it again. This time we will make sure to review it properly.

Thank you very much on behalf of the Taiga Team!

As I implied above, Taiga is no better secured without 2FA than proprietary software, such as Quire or Taskade.

Taiga is a joke by any other name!

Taiga is a joke by any other name!

@Hillside502: From my POV, the joke is your etiquette. In general, they owe you nothing. Even if you are not happy with the features or communication, you could at least stay polite. What have YOU done for the wider community?

Back to topic: Having applications around without 2FA is a quite common (not only Taiga-related) problem. So using https://github.com/authelia/authelia or comparable stuff in front of it might be worth a look. Sure, built-in support in Taiga would be nice and the lack of it seems to be just a lack of menpower regarding implementation. I am sure the Taiga teams knows this plus welcomes good PRs.

I would like to respectfully put my had in the ring on the desire for 2FA support. It would allow me to use this on an organizational level instead of a personal internal level. Also @andreashaerter, thank you for the reference to Authelia, I will have to check it out.

Really enjoying Taiga so far though, thank you!
