[Feature Request] Custom Dictionary ⦿ New Command → Repeat Latest Suggestion
Hello @tadashi-aikawa !!!!
MY FR is simple to explain: when adding suggestion from custom dictionaries in the active note, many times I have to repeat the same text that I inserted from the suggestion two/three times.
This way I think we could have a new command that repeats the the last suggestion inserted in the active note.
⚠️ By repeat I mean insert in the caret cursor the latest text added in the active note by a Custom Dictionary.
This idea cames from Microsoft EXCEL where we have a hotkey F4
that repeats the lasted action that you perform inside a worksheet :)
Thanks for reading this !!!!! I hope you like my suggestion 🙏 🙏 🙏
Let me know if you need more information !!!
Have a great day 🌞
Hi, @FelipeRearden. Thank you for your FR :)
Couldn't Predictable complement or Intelligent suggestion prioritization satisfy your requirements? It would be helpful if you could provide specific text and what you would like to type :)

Hello @tadashi-aikawa !!!!
Couldn't Predictable complement or Intelligent suggestion prioritization satisfy your requirements?
Unfortunately no :) I love these features and I they are amazing, but as I am gonna show below, I have a different workflow the fits the FR of this issue.
- One of the things that I like the most about VC is that VC is so amazing that we could have a lot of different workflows.
MY FR is a variation of the Intelligent suggestion prioritization where the last suggestion in inserted on the caret cursor of the active note using an Hotkey :)
it would be helpful if you could provide specific text and what you would like to type :)
I have a different approach to Custom Dictionaries that helps to understand my FR. Let me share:
Fundamentals
1️⃣ I only use Custom Dictionaries with and without alias based on the purpose of the dictionary;
2️⃣ I only use alias to trigger VC modal suggestions. If you take a look at one of my 6 Custom Dictionaries, you will see that I always use the symbol ꜔
to let the suggestion only be triggered by the alias. For example:
This is helpful to me because for some specifics dictionaries, I want to control when VC will be triggered.
Real Example
One example of how I would use this new feature. These is the dictionary that I will use in this example:
💻 Creating a bullet List inside a blockquote

As you can see I need to repeat the symbol ⦿ many times :)
I choose the least complex example to show how this new feature could be useful. When you use a lot of dictionaries like me and trigger a lot of those dictionaries using alias, many times I just need to repeat the last item many times like in this example.
I have a more complex example where I created a Second Clipboard using VC.
- I have one command to store a line/word in a specific dictionary .
- One command to trigger the VC modal;
- and another to clean this VC dictionary when I change my workflow.
Let me know if this example was clear to show the meaning for the FR. I can do another one :)
As always, thank your very much for your attention with my FR 💙
Let me know what you think :)
Thank you for your detailed explanation, and I figured it out :)
I'll consider it 👍
Thank you for your detailed explanation, and I figured it out :)

I'll consider it 👍
Thank you very much for considering this FR in future releases of VC :)
Have a great day!!!!
