Local source loads really slow and without covers

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Tachiyomi (Preview v0.14.7-6237) -> Browse -> Local source

    a. Local source loads really slow (20-30 seconds for 20~ items)

    • Also tried only having 1-2 items in the local directory: It's faster the less local manga there are regardless of the file size of the manga.
    • It becomes noticeably slower when adding more manga to the local directory.

    b. Covers do not load

    • Refreshing the manga itself does not load the cover.
    • Deleting <manga>/cover.jpg and reopening Local source recreates <manga>/cover.jpg, but the cover is not loaded.
    • Incidentally, local manga that was in the Library before the update still had the covers loaded.
    • After refreshing library covers in Tachiyomi settings, these manga also lost their covers and are not loaded anymore.

    c. Tried "Clear database" and "Clear chapter cache" in Tachiyomi settings, cleared cache in app storage settings, removed Tachiyomi (Preview) from recents to restart it, and issue still persists.

  2. Move directory back to Tachiyomi/local (if not already) to compare to stable Tachiyomi (v0.14.7) -> Browse -> Local source

    • Loads significantly faster
    • Loads covers properly

Expected behavior

Local source should show the local manga covers and should load the local manga as fast as previous versions.

Actual behavior

Local source loads significantly slower compared to previous Tachiyomi versions, and covers do not show up.
