Absolute timer in days

Open proedie opened this issue 5 years ago • 1 comments

What's the problem?

This is a great tool, but I'm using my tabs differently: I'm not worried about too many open tabs after just a couple of hours. Instead, I would like to use this add-on for tabs that are so old, I even forgot about them. Say, tabs I haven't seen in weeks or perhaps months. Really old stuff.

What I'd like

Instead of a timer counting down the minutes since browser start, I would like to see a timer that counts down from the day the tab was originally opened. This would require two changes:

  1. Add ‘days’ to ‘Close inactive tabs after’ in the settings.
  2. Add checkbox ‘Don't count idle time’ to the settings. Default should be set to ‘true’ to retain current behaviour.

Change 1 is, of course, only cosmetic, but would really be appreciated.

Possible duplicate

I am aware that this could be seen as a duplicate of #130. However, I feel that that issue is a bit hazy as it was originally opened as a bug report instead of a feature request.

I forgot to mention: #266 is also related.
