log4j: no appenders could be found for logger

trying to run tablua-java from powershell using the following:

java -jar tabula.jar -b C:\tabula\files -p 1-5, -l -a 36.00036000000003,21.285,588.4203600000001,775.665 -i

getting log4j warnings that "no appenders could be found for logger" and "please initialize the log4j system properly"
