Cant change screen size so it doesn't stay at 3.5 all the time

I downloaded the Xcode project and whenever I run it on anything bigger than an iPhone 4s it doest stretch out to a bigger size. could someone please explain how to allow it to adjust to a bigger screen size? Thanks!
