Resource packs for mods

Do you intend to personally contribute/program this feature?

No

I would like to see this change made to improve my experience with

Gameplay as a Player

Description

The ability to make resource packs for mods would be nice for everyone (except mod artists), there are so many QoL resource packs for Vanilla that can also do something with the mods. For example: there's a language pack that translates the game into a language not supported by Terraria officially, why not do that with mods? Or informational language packs that give you more info about items. Some people like to have a challenge with texture packs that make every sprite greyed out, or harder to read. Some people just like their music in the game. All of that can be applied to mods as well, and here's how I think it could work.

Every mod already has its own ID, whether it's on Steam Workshop or in the Mod Browser, and in the resource pack, in the "Content" folder there will be other folders, the ones used in vanilla resourc packs and one saying "Modded" or something like that. In that "Modded" folder there will be folders with mod IDs, and each folder has your typical folders from normal resource packs, like "Images", "Music", "Sounds", etc. Of course, you would only know what to use if you can extract files from the mod using the built-in extractor, but the resource packs might encourage mod developers to be more open with the data of their mods, and it would generally be better for players.

What does this proposal attempt to solve or improve?

Some players have resource packs that can apply to anything, like all the sprites are greyed out, or music packs, things like that. But currently, you can't apply them to mods. This will let people use the resource packs with mods.

Which (other) solutions should be considered?
