Enable multitouch
I've installed ubuntu and libgesture to enable multitouch. Do you recommend another route? I can't get pinch to work.
If you upgrade to Ubuntu 21.10 and use wayland, pinch should work
Though for Chrome you will need to change the Ozone layer settings in flags
For Ubuntu 20.04 LTS you would want to look at touchegg
@acheong08, unfortunately, touchegg uses xdotool, which presents some delay issues since my keyboard is US and my language is pt-br. Known bug. Do you suggest to upgrade?
I am currently on Ubuntu 21.10 and it works perfectly, though you do have to use apt to install gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons-ng to fix the Desktop. Otherwise desktop icons do not show up.
You made it manually or did you use the iso? I don't know how to went from LTS to 21.10.
You can indeed only upgrade from one Ubuntu version to the next, or from one LTS release (Long Term Support release) to the next. 20.04 is a LTS. You can upgrade to 21.04, but you also will be able to upgrade to the next LTS, 22.04.
The system may not be customized too much in order to upgrade.
[Disable any PPA](https://askubuntu.com/questions/307/how-can-ppas-be-removed) you added
Fully update your system before attempting the upgrade:
sudo apt update sudo apt upgrade sudo apt dist-upgrade
Then you can update with
sudo do-release-upgrade
If you do not get the update going, then the shortest pain will be a fresh install - overwriting your existing installation. Technically, that is by far the best, even though you then need to restore all your customization.
