Is this project dead?
no PRs in very longtime!!!
I ask myself the same question.
Quite a few open issues without answers, some PRs to review and merge and the last release was made 3 years ago.
We were hoping to use this date picker in our projects but first we need to know if this project is still active.
Or is there any good active fork?
ping @t1m0n
Hey, thanks for your interest, the project is not actively developed as you see, there are some reasons for this. To be honest I have plans to rewrite datepicker in ES6 and without jQuery, but can't say when I'll be able to do this.
@florianlacreuse I use it in multiple projects, and I didn't face any critical bugs, but its up to you whether to use it or not.
@t1m0n Thanks for your reply. If by without jQuery you mean just vanilla JavaScript it would so awesome. jQuery is dying (in terms of popularity at least) and people are increasingly looking for vanilla light JS components. Bootstrap (famous CSS / JS toolkit) are droping jQuery in the upcoming v5, every js components have been rewrite in vanilla JS. A good pure JS datepicker should be used by a lot of people, I think.
Your current datepicker looks solid but I can't make my team switch, from jQuery UI datepicker (yeah...), to a project not actively developed.
Thanks for all the work you have already done!
