Is there a way to paste images from clipboard or attach from file, like GitHub issues can?

I know this is a static site generator, but it seems image media handling tends to be a sore point with static site generators. If I want to give a basic web user a tool to write and include images (like Google Docs or Microsoft Word), image attachment and/or pasting images seems like a valuable feature to have.
