Mounting directories for local manipulation
Hi,
Is there a way to mount specific directories to that the content can be manipulated locally?
for example, mounting the directory that apps are installed to, for the purpose of testing?
Thanks for any assistance
Hi, why would you need this? Why not simply add the apps via the existing variables?
Thanks for the reply, @szaimen
For the purpose of testing apps, namely custom apps..
For the purpose of testing apps, namely custom apps..
Which apps exactly? We could add them via variables to be officially supported by easy test...

Sorry, I'm not sure I follow.
The idea of easy test is thst you can easily test apps from remote branches. See https://github.com/szaimen/nextcloud-easy-test?tab=readme-ov-file#available-apps. So if you want to test additional ones that are not supported yet, we could add them. See https://github.com/szaimen/nextcloud-easy-test/pull/37/files as an example
Oh, right.
When I mentioned custom, I was referring to apps that are being built locally. I intend to test an app that I've coded, and once it's 'release worthy', I'll release it.
As I understood it, the only way to do this, was to put the required files, into the app directory.. hence the question.
I get what you're saying @voryzen It's a great idea, so I've added a pull request for how I think it should work.

Hi,
Looks like the maintainer has gone, AWOL. Can you maintain a fork, @dhitchenor?
@voryzen probably not, tbh.
A quick look on google, shows that there are other options for you if @szaimen doesn't want this functionality in his project.
Hi, I am still not sure if this fits the idea of this project as the idea is to install apps directly from remote branches. Can you please clarify why would you want to get local apps running within it?
For development purposes? In this case I would rather recommend https://github.com/juliusknorr/nextcloud-docker-dev/
@dhitchenor thanks for your time, working on your code.
@szaimen it was TOO much effort to even discuss ideas with you.. I moved on ages ago
