Make it easier to read and write firmware with an external tool

Why/User Benefit/User Problem

Using a WSON8 makes it very difficult to reliably clip to the chip. Publishing basic instructions for external flashing of the firmware would be very helpful too. The difficulty is also increased by having the heat pipe/sink partially covering the firmware memory chip.

Description of the feature

The main reason I purchased a laptop from System76 is the use and development of opensource firmware. When modifying firmware it will quite often result in an unbootable computer. Having the ability to easily read and write the firmware into flash memory with an external device would make development work much easier. If System76 writes to the flash after manufacutring solders down the firmware flash memory, publishing how would be very helpful: test points, jumpers, or other info.
