Drives - Map a Network Drive - Automatically on login or via script?

The documentation for mapping a network drive is pretty straightforward and simple.

But, is it possible to have the mapping occur automatically at log in? If its not supported via GUI, is there configuration or scripting that can be done to do it?

If it is possible via config/scripting, I think it would be helpful to include that information on the existing page.
