Kohana_Exception [ 0 ]: The requested route does not exist

I followed the README and completed the setup. Then I get the following error when I go to the url for the server.

A fatal error has occurred: Kohana_Exception [ 0 ]: The requested route does not exist: exception ~ SYSPATH/classes/kohana/route.php [ 106 ]
