Headphones weird behaviour
when you plugin headphones and listen for sound, the sound comes out as noise, i found out that if you go to settings > audio > input , the audio starts working (just by clicking on the audio tab, thats weird)
i dont know if this behaviour only happens with headphones with mic or not, will keep testing
This happens with both speakers and headphones, but happens with headphones more often
I get this kind of issue on both Dell Precision M3800 and XPS 13 93x0 when selecting tab->output during headphone plug-in.
Seems there's a register value being initialized incorrectly during selecting output
tab.

I got this too. After sleep, or after you connect headphones, sometimes sound is not working and you can hear a strange noise. If you go to Input tab audio works again. Any way to fix this permanently by keeping resetting values? thanks
Try the .aml file in attachment. Extract it to EFI/Clover/ACPI/patched (backup yours first). Let me know if solved the issue. Did for me.
@ZombieTheBest @Eduardoveras please try the CodecCommander.kext without this SSDT to see if it work now?
Thank you in advance, syscl
@syscl
Hi! I will! Was following a issue topic under insanelydeepak's Github about our ALC256 crackling issue. He released new drivers to fix static noise issue using headphones and gave me a fix for this audio not working after sleep issue.
Here's the link if you wanna follow: https://github.com/insanelydeepak/cloverHDA-for-Mac-OS-Sierra-10.12/issues/25

@ZombieTheBest HP noise can be solved by using CodecCommander, now the tiny problem is that sometimes when you open System Preferences
->Sound
->Output
then there will be noise from headphone, that's the same issue on Dell Precision M3800.
I switched to a new HDA driver from @MuntashirAkon because he also added combo jack support. But not sure if the new configuration for CodecCommander will work or not because my XPS 13 is now in my apartment and I'm in school.

Gonna test It for you! Thank you!

Thank you!
@syscl Tell me how to install, I can't run Deploy due to some different files. I installed CloverCommander and removed SSDT-ALC256 from Clover and config.plist SortedOrder. Anything else?
Till now I still don't rewrite deploy, but I think you can backup your Clover folder then run deploy.sh, once it finished, you can revert back the old Clover folder. I know this solution kinda ugly, but I will refine it later.
Notice layoutID = 1 syscl
Tested the Deploy. Zero static noise until you go to SysPref->Sounds panel. Static noise still present if you connect/disconnect headphones. Sleep->Resume fixes static noise. With combo jack you mean Headphones microphone? 'cause mine is not working, it still recognizes the internal one.
@syscl Is mic jack supposed to work?
@ZombieTheBest it does on mine, i used the deploy.sh from a few weeks ago.
There's probably something different with my Audio Card. @syscl any idea?
