can we install the Firefox plugin via CLI?

Is there a way to install the container plugin via code or by making a call to firefox so the user doesn't have to install it manually?

For this to work well, we would need a way to know if the plugin is already installed. Doesn't seem to be a way to do that from the firefox cli.
