The problem
#2936 will generate field action metadata as a part of extension metadata. The backend should provide these metadata via REST endpoint. The field action metadata doesn't belong to specific Connector/Connection/Action, but the user account who uploaded that extension. Those custom field actions should be available whenever the user open a datamapper step.
It’s better to also include OOTB transformation metadata so that the data mapper doesn’t have to retrieve it separately.
