RC versions on fdroid

Is there way to have beta/RC versions available somewhere on fdroid? I get my updates available notifications from fdroid. I'm slightly new to the development side of fdroid so I'm not sure how RC versions world work? I don't know if a second fdroid package is needed?

I thought that RCs are like nightly builds and are not supposed to be used for the masses. I also think, that F-droid is just for production packages, so it could be not the best idea. I might be wrong though
