Feature request/proposal: Download maps for offline usage

It would be great to have tool to download maps to the disk and use it later without connection to the database.

Hi @ycphs,

thanks for your your request. If I understand your request correctly you want to be able to select an area on a map and store all tiles locally for offline use. I'm sorry to say that this is currently out of scope for us.

We have an article about how to make maps available offline. You could try the HOT Export of Geofabrik and store the exported tiles in an MBTiles container. Both articles are in German language.
