AdAway won't detect it

AdAway won't detect the module, so hosts file can't be installed.

@symbuzzer/systemless-hosts-KernelSU-module/

works good with AdAway, but some apps can detect it and because that they refuse to work.

Hello,

I can confirm what hsantanna said. On my Android 13 (Lineage), Adaway was never able to modify the host with adaway-kernelsu-helper installed according to the procedure.

With systemless-hosts-KernelSU-module, Adaway worked the first time without a problem. The disadvantage is that some banking applications that didn't detect root beforehand, detected it and locked themselves. For example, this is the case with the cic bank: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cic_prod.bad&hl=fr

For information, I deactivated Adaway and cleaned up the host, keeping the systemless-hosts-KernelSU-module active. As soon as I deactivate the module it works.

Note:

  • For information, my banking application does not have access to any application installed on my phone. I have restricted the rights with xprivacylua. Detection is therefore not done by identifying the package name.
  • I also have the Adguard adblocker, but that doesn't prevent the banking application from working.
